Govt committed to ensure JK’s holistic development : Dy CM | KNO

JAMMU, MARCH 17 (KNO) : Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh today said the government is committed to holistic development of the state and necessary efforts are afoot to ensure that the people of the state are provided with quality basic facilities of living. He said necessary directions have already been passed to the executing agencies to ensure timely completion of various flagship initiatives being taken in different sectors.

The Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with several deputations who had come to meet him and project their respective grievances and demands. The deputations had come from districts of Kathua, Rajouri, Ramban, Anantnag, Budgam, Poonch, Kishtwar and other areas of the State. MLA Bani Mr Jeevan Lal was also present on the occasion. Deputy Chief Minister while assuring early redressal of the grievances projected by the deputations, also gave on-spot directions to the officers of the concerned departments to ensure their redressal. He said the officers should work in a coordinated manner to ensure that people do not suffer and the benefit of various welfare schemes reach the targeted populace in full.

He asked officers to take people on board while implementing various welfare schemes to make the system more transparent and accountable. It is pertinent to mention that Deputy Chief Minister had been conducting weekly public Durbars in which hundreds of Deputations and people from every district participate and project their issues and demands.(KNO)
